Resources

Welcome to the resources page.

As you have seen from my portfolio page, there are a number of different options available for decorative concrete.

First I’ll start with our Colour through the mix concrete. This colour is mixed 100% through the concrete and is very popular at the moment. A full list of colours can been seen at http://www.concretecoloursystems.com.au/architects/colour-ranges/full-depth-coloured-integrally-coloured-concrete

Next we have stencil and colour. Unlike colour through the mix, this colour is a throw on colour which colours the top 3 to 5mm of the concrete. This product is extremely durable and hard wearing and is perfect to use with stencil patterns. These patterns have been popular for the last 7 or 8 years and still looks great today. A selection of colours and stencil patterns can be seen at http://www.designerconcrete.com.au/concrete/stencil/stencil_colours_patterns.asp

Another option for a patterned concrete is called Stamped concrete. Stamped concrete gives the slate effect to concrete with a selection of joint patterns which can be seen at http://www.designerconcrete.com.au/concrete/stamped/stamped_concrete.asp

As you can see from my portfolio and the website, stamped is available in a single colour or two toned finish.

Finally we have exposed aggregate. Exposed aggregate has been popular for many years but is not suitable in all situations due to the sand and cement we wash off. Please talk to me if you’re interested in exposed aggregate and we can see if it’s suitable in your situation.

For work being done on council land (the area between your property line and the road) a council approved contractor is required by both Pittwater and Warringah Council. I am registered, fully insured and approved by both Pittwater and Warringah council to perform works on their land.

For a list of contractors and an application form, please go to http://www.pittwater.nsw.gov.au/local_services/roadways_and_footpaths/working_on_road_reserve if you are in the Pittwater area or http://www.warringah.nsw.gov.au/planning-and-development/building-and-certification/driveway-and-vehicle-crossings if you are in the Warringah area.

I think I’ve covered most things here but if you have any other questions at all please do not hesitate to contact me.
